The hope is that other researchers like you will join our study to help make it a valuable reference point for people studying lines that cross or intersect. I am in contact with a descendant in New Zealand who has supplied me with information. I am not sure how much I have added to the profiles. Let me know if there are any more that you would like me to add you as a trusted member.

I will continue to manage alone anyone closely connected to a living individual unless you are a close relation. If you find any Rosling connections let me know so that I can add to my Rosling Name Study.

As we all know some surnames have undergone changes over the years. When following a particular name one soon learns to try different alternative spellings. My particular line followed this route. It started back in the 16th century as Boothway then Bothway onto Boutherway and then Botherway & finally back to Boutherway. With many more branches using Botherway than Boutherway. Some branches using both, seemingly unable to spell. However over the last 100 years BOTHERWAY has gradually prevailed, at least in the UK and New Zealand, the two areas I can speak for.
